What is “A Night on the Town”?
A Night on the Town is an annual event that provides a powerful opportunity for our community to learn about homelessness, raise awareness for our friends without an address, and experience a bit of what it might be like to be outside, overnight, in the hottest part of our humid Kentucky summers.
Box dwellers commit to spending 7 hours outside in a cardboard box, in Chestnut Park in Murray. Box dwellers come from all works of life: local government leaders, police officers, pastors, business leaders, students, grandmas and grandpas, moms and dads. Each box dweller is challenged to raising at least $1,000 to help the Murray Calloway County Homeless Coalition.
Community members can get involved with us by donating, signing up to be a box dweller, being a business sponsor, serving as an event volunteer, or donating a silent auction item! Email us at for more information.
THESE AMAZING COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE AGREED TO SERVE AS BOX DWELLERS FOR OUR 2020 EVENT! WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THE LIST? REGISTER BELOW OR CONTACT JENNIFER RILEY AT 270.227.7739.

Live Cake Auction
This year, we are doing things a little differently. We are asking community members who donate cakes to purchase them from local businesses/bakeries. This will help keep people safe and healthy as well as help support our local businesses as they bounce back from the effects of the quarantine. Let us know if you'd be willing to donate a cake. Here are some local businesses who make cakes (or pies):
